Hope your week is going well. I’ve mentioned before that my daughter has just gotten her a permit and we’ve spent this last week or so getting her a car to drive. An interesting experience, and have had a whole lot of fun helping her decide how she wants to spend the money she’s saved on a car. I really can’t believe that she is 16 already.
I think tomorrow on our blog Friday’s promotion tip will be about promoting your tutor business during sporting events.
Tips for helping your students study  –
In today’s issue we’re going to be focusing on websites you can visit to help you teach your students how to study. Some of these sites are pretty huge, and you will definitely not have the time to read everything today. One of your goals as a tutor should be learning how to teach. Make one of your goals to spend some time reading every day.
Student Guides and Strategies –
This site is huge. I really like the section on testing and memorization. http://www.studygs.net/shared/testing.htm
Teacher Vision is a site that has lesson plans, and helpful sections on taking notes and test taking.

When I was studying to be a nurse, I think I made about a thousand flash cards. This site lets you do that. It also lets you save them, and check out flashcard sets that other people have made.

Sparknotes is a site your students may already know about.

I’m teacher, too. I use Superflashcard to teach my students. With great database and multi-platform apps, it is really my best favorite education tool.
