This week we’re going to be talking about making more money for your tutor business. When it comes down to it there are really only three ways to make more money for your business.
1. Adding More Students.
2. Keeping Students Longer.
3. Charging more for your tutoring.
There are some additional ways you can make more, but these are the 3 main ways. We’ll be talking about each of these in depth this week. For now you will want to make sure that every new tutor client you get, you find out exactly how you got them. This should be one of the first questions new ask new students. How did they find you.
They may say at first they don’t remember exactly how they found you, but you’ll want to press them a bit. List for them the various ways they could have found you. Did they find you on facebook, your website, blog, did they see an ad in the paper, online. Maybe the found a pulltab sheet at the grocery store. Once you figure out how they found you, then you want to find out exactly where the found you. Which ad, in which paper, what store etc.
Some people will know exactly how they found you and others won’t the more specific they can be the better. You’ll then want to make note of this on your client tracker.
With any advertising you want to make more than you spend… this should be a no brainer. We’ll talk about some ways you can do this tomorrow.
