Happy Friday to you. If you’re in the North East hopefully you are snug in your home. Today is Friday so we’re going to give you a promotion tip for your tutor business.
We’ve been doing some testing with some of our other sites on how well a Kindle book does. My wife who has a site about crochet (and she designs her own patterns) sent me 20 patterns to make into a kindle book. You can check it out here. The next few Fridays we’re going to tell you how you can get your own ebook on Amazon. It costs you nothing to do this (just some time) and having a link on your site to your Kindle book gives you some credibility. Also people who purchase your book may just figure out how awesome you are and want you to tutor their children.
First you want to take a look and see what is popular now on kindle.
If you search Amazon for study tips you’ll find a good list. You can also check out the reference books they have on this page – http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Kindle-Store-Reference/zgbs/digital-text/158125011/ref=zg_bs_nav_kstore_3_157325011. Remember our goal for this isn’t really about selling a ton of books, we’re going to give it to your current clients and use it as give aways to give you more business.
Think of topics that:
1. Students are always asking questions about.
2. Parents have questions about it.
3. You have a method or technique for doing something that works most of the time.
Remember you don’t have to write a thousand page book, just 20 or 30 pages with good content.
Next Friday we’ll talk some about writing your book.
