Feb. is here. Hope your month is going well. Today we’ll talk some more about financing. Don’t forget tomorrow on our blog we’ll be giving you a promotion tip.
Financing your Business – (Bootstrapping)
We wrote last time about one of your biggest businesses expenses (where you tutor). Today we’re going to be talking about bootstrapping your business. You’ll want to use this method if you have only a few hundred dollars to spend.
Remember if you’re driving somewhere to tutor (either their house or a place like the library).
Tutor supplies – you should have these already.
You’ll want a couple of reams of paper – you’ll also need a printer (which most people have) along with some extra ink cartridges.
You’ll want a hundred or so business cards – you could print this yourself on the computer but it’s normally much cheaper to buy these online. I just did a search on Google and many places were offering 250 business cards for less than $10.00.
With those items you should be able to get your first customer and well on your way to get more.
Valentine’s Day –
Is just around the corner. In fact it is next week. If you’re tutoring younger (early grade school) children they get a big kick out of getting cards. You’ll want to make sure you get them a card. Older kids you tutor you can get them a small gift. Now is also a great time to use Valentine ’s Day as a promotion to get you more clients.
