One thing that will help you increase your conversion rates – especially when you are working on closing the deal, is to provide different ways for your prospective client to get to know you. Here are four ways you can do just that.
1. On your website. Your website should include a detailed about us section that covers why your prospect should allow you to tutor their child. If you tutor Math – then you should highlight how great you are in Math, and why. If you tutor many different subjects then you’ll want to include a blurb about each subject area and you’ll want to highlight accomplishments of the tutor that will be teaching their child.
You’ll also want to include clear and concise information about exactly how to contact you.
You’ll want to include something along the lines of references available on request. You’ll want to include customer testimonials and that you do background checks on each of your tutors. More on each of these below.
2. References – you’ll want to make sure you have five or six good references. These references should know people will be calling them to ask about you. You can use work references, teachers, start students you’ve tutored, happy parents, clergy, local civic leaders. A great way to do this is to get them to write you a letter of recommendation. You can showcase this during the initial interview and give them a list with your references contact information.
3. We’ve talked about testimonials before so I won’t go into it here. Get them, use them on your site and have printed copies of them for folks to look at.
4. Background Checks. A good place you can go to for these is here – http://www.backgroundchecks.com/ You can also do a search online for other resources. Costs range from $40 – $70.
Hopefully including all of these will improve your conversion rates and your bottom line.
