It goes by a variety of names but we’ll explain how to focus your time and be more productive.
The secret to this is breaking your big tasks down into easier segments. This month for instance we’re working on our online tutoring guide. I first wrote down everything I would need to do in order to make that happen. I then took each of those pieces and broke them down into smaller chunks. I wanted to finish it within a month so I spread those tasks out over the month. Then instead of having a hundred things to do, I had 4 or 5 things I needed to do every day.
There are many different ways you can do this technique. The basic premise is you work hard for 20 minutes, take a break for 5 minutes and then work hard for another 20 minutes. During those 20 minutes you focus on doing one of the tasks on your to do list. The five minute break you get away from your desk, stretch for a few minutes and then get back down to business.
