I think we skipped spring and went straight to summer. Winter is having a hard time letting go to our west. We didn’t have any questions you wanted answered, so I picked one out. I think we’ll move to our summer newsletter schedule a little early since we are swamped with work in our other business (not that I’m complaining). So your next issue will be the first Thursday of May. During May we usually offer a discount on our products and services, what would you like to see discounted – you can just reply to this email note, or if you’ve found it on our blog you can leave a comment.
Tips for Solving a Difficult Problem –
This past week we’ve been working on moving some websites for a client. Their current hosting service has been horrible, so they wanted us to move a wordpess site to another server. There are super simple ways to do this. The simple way didn’t work because the backend of the server was pretty messed up. The backend is what helps the server to do what it does (let’s your posts show up, saves your images, etc.).
I worked all day yesterday on trying to get things to work. My daughter saw I was frustrated, and said to me “Let’s take a Walk,†and so we did. During the walk I solved the problem in my mind, came back to the office and in ten minutes had it fixed. So what do you do when you have a problem you don’t know how to deal with?
1.     Take a step back – sometimes pounding your head on the keyboard doesn’t work. Get away from the problem, do something different.
2.     Ask for help – as people who are knowledgeable for their help. If I hadn’t figured out what to do during the walk, I would have emailed a friend to ask for their assistance.
3.     Sleep on it – sometimes a good night’s sleep will help you figure out a solution to your problem.
Do you have any tips, let us know we would love to hear them and good luck.
