Hopefully you are busy as a bee as we hit crunch time for schools everywhere. It’s kind of funny, usually we have some harsh winters here, so schools start in very early August and we finish school at around the first of June. This year we had no winter at all and the kids missed I think five days of school total. So this year schools will be getting out the first week of May. So usually we’re pretty busy in May, but this month it has hit us in April. One reason the newsletters are a bit short.
From last time  –
An answer of the questions we posed to international tutors –
1- I tutor in Portugal (Where do you tutor?)
2- Here, the best way is to apply directly in “Study Centers” (How do you get your leads?)
3- First, observe how the work is done in the study centers: go there and ask questions about their methods. Then make a business plan and start up.
4 – Mathematics, geometry, biology (What subjects do your students excel at?)
5 – I don’t know yet because i haven´t started, but i presume that is the money management. It has to be carefully planned and executed. (What’s hardest about having a tutor business?)
Thanks very much Ana.
Words of encouragement –
I often tell aspiring writers that they will never finish a book if they strive for perfection, but if they don’t strive for excellence they will never publish one. Perfection is an unobtainable goal, imprisoning us in a cycle of repeated failure. Excellence is a shining star inspiring our best efforts and calling forth gifts we didn’t even know we had. Avoid perfectionism like the plague but strive for excellence with all your might.
